Nestled near the base of Rakko Kinjjo (Rakko Mountain) lies Abebe Cherfo’s 5.24-hectare coffee farm.
Abebe manages 11 plots throughout the village. Although coffee is currently his sole source of income for his large family, he plans to diversify his business by reinvesting his profits into the hospitality and logistics sectors.
Since 2019, Abebe has been a member of the Jabanto Producer Group, a collective of 87 smallholder producers united by their shared goal of improving coffee quality and processing methods in the region.
Among the coffees produced and cupped by the group, the very best are selected to be showcased as single-farm offerings. This is one of those exceptional coffees.
