TIB Coffee acquired a piece of land in Karambo hill, Gasorwe commune, Muyinga District, for the construction of their coffee washing station, Karambo CWS. Nestled in the northeastern region of Burundi, Muyinga District offers an ideal climate for processing high-quality specialty coffee, thanks to its average altitude of 1500 to 1700 masl. The area also boasts tourist attractions such as Ruvubu National Park and the scenic Ruvubu River, which flows into the Nile. Additionally, the region is known for its gold and coltan mines. While Kayanza District is renowned for its specialty coffee production in Burundi, TIB Coffee made the deliberate choice to establish their station in Muyinga, considering the saturation of Coffee Washing Stations in Kayanza. They firmly believe that Muyinga holds untapped potential to produce outstanding coffees, supported by their meticulous analysis and firsthand observations.
