This lot from Cajamarca hits a rare balance—playful sweetness, creamy texture, and a backbone of elegant structure. Think toffee richness up front, a thread of baker’s chocolate grounding the cup, and a finish that recalls vanilla biscuits just out of the oven.

We were drawn to it for its quiet confidence. It’s not trying to impress with wild fruit or eccentric processing. Instead, it offers warmth, clarity, and a shape-shifting complexity that opens up over time. It’s comforting and composed, with just enough brightness to keep you coming back.
Coffee Information

This coffee is the product of the Flores family’s decades-long commitment to quality farming in Cajamarca. Led today by second and third generations, their collective work at Finca El Morito spans direct family plots and neighbouring producers within their tight-knit community.

Since the 1970s, they’ve built a deeply collaborative model rooted in care and craft. That dedication has paid off: El Morito has placed multiple times in the Cup of Excellence, most recently in 2022. This lot—overseen by Miguel Estela—reflects that legacy in every cup.

This coffee rewards both careful brewing and casual sipping—delivering complexity without fuss.

    Perfect daily driver coffee. Balanced but still subtley complex. Great in milk or as espresso. Would recommend.

    Creamy Tasty Decaf

    Love this coffee - it means I can have a gorgeous latte in the evening and still sleep ! It has a wonderful deep taste to it - but make sure you change the grinder setting as it grinds very differently. We usually use 13 on our Breville but for decaf we use 22 ! If not the water can’t be pushed through our Rox. We love it so much we bought another Breville grinder just for this decaf !
