FRENCH PRESS BREW GUIDE

The faithful plunger.

So easy you wont even need mum to help. (unless you’re actually still a child then please get some adult supervision.)

You'll need:

  • Plunger
  • 21g of coarsely ground coffee
  • 320-350ml 92c water.


STEP 1: RINSE

Pour some water into the plunger to pre-heat it. We’ll be brewing at about 92c.

STEP 2: ADD COFFEE

Coarsely grind 21g of coffee you like, empty the pre-heated plunger and place the coffee in the bottom.

STEP 3: BLOOM

Pour about 50g of water on top of the coffee to ‘bloom’ the coffee.

STEP 4: POUR

After 30 seconds or so, Pour another 270-300g of water onto the 'slurry' (that's the water & coffee combined) and place the plunger onto it. Dont plunge just yet.

STEP 5: PLUNGE

After a total brew time of 4 minutes. (including the bloom). Gently plunge the coffee.

WAIT AND ENJOY

Decant into your favourite cup or mug and let it cool to a delicious drinking temperature.
