New Packaging Roll-Out: Our Fresh New Look

New Packaging Roll-Out: Our Fresh New Look

We love sharing amazing, unique coffee from all around the world with you and we are committed to sourcing and supplying them in an ethical and sustainable way.

Over the past few months we have been working on an update to our packaging with our good friend and illustrator Adam Parata to launch mid 2023; however, since the wrap up of REDcycle's soft plastic recycling program, we felt the best course of action was to bring this forward and to change over our bags as soon as possible.

We’re stoked to announce that we have already begun the process of rolling out our fresh new bags. If you’ve got a subscription with us, you may have already seen them land in your mailbox! They’re fully curb-side recyclable, which means you can chuck them straight in your recycling bin at home, helping to drastically cut down the amount of coffee bags headed to landfill.

To keep the bags totally recyclable, they will no longer have a resealable component. Keeping our new bags sealed will be as simple as rolling the bag tightly and taping it down or clipping it shut. We're working on some nice ways to put our own WOR spin on this, and we can't wait to share the details with you soon. To keep your beans in peak form we also recommend placing them in an airtight container after opening. We love the Fellow Atmos vacuum models for this and we've just started stocking them on our online store. We’ll also be getting some of these containers branded, to add our own little personal touch, and we’ll be sure to let you know when these are available too.

In the next few months, we’ll be transitioning all of our 250g coffee bags to custom branded Wide Open Road recyclable bags with our new label design. After that, the 1KG bags are up next for a makeover and we’ll be working on transitioning these to our new branded recyclable bags.

Here at Wide, sustainability is a massive part of what we stand for and who we are. We’re proud to be doing our part to help cut down the amount of coffee bags headed to landfill. We can’t wait to share the exciting next phase of these bags with you very soon.

We would love to hear any feedback you have on the new designs.
